Good chance I won't be watching it again but I can say I came out of the cinema fairly satisfied.A proper clanger.
It isn’t unlikable, just quite uninspired. After viewing the film, the cover art proved to be quite deceiving. It's a little inconsistent throughout the film, but for an indie film it's pretty good. They say the word “babe” every other sentence.
I regretted this decision within the first five minutes... This often feels like it was made by a thirteen year old boy.
It did well for a low budget film.
Set in Bristol, not something you hear often in a movie review, it takes advantage of its countryside setting to tell its story of a pagan ritual group using the girls as its next victims.
Has the production values of a Mitchell and Webb sketch. The soundtrack is superbly done with an impressive score which adds to the overall scary vibe of the film. It followed more on the girls having a good time then a actually thing we paid to see. Best Sexy Horror Movies 2019 !!
But outside of that, this picture has no redeeming features.
On the plus side I suppose some of the establishing shots looked okay. While competent and entertaining to a degree, I get the feeling horror genre isn’t where the director’s real skills lie.By god this was poor.
Also the sex scene is so Channel 5 soft core firday night stuff from 15 years ago! It's almost purposeless, like some of the shots would have been strange and meaningless as extraneous coverage but are given special lingering attention.About 4 or 5 minutes of its 83-minute runtime are the opening titles, shot over stock footage. I even liked the ending. Haunted by the ghosts of a better film, a sequel to The Shining exploits horror-fan obsessions without understanding the fear. This violent film uses the protagonist’s consecration to intensify vampire films’ themes of sexual sin (in this case, an affair between a priest and a married woman) and sacrilege. The entire film feels intentionally slow as if they knew they had a 45-minute script that they had to drag out…A film filled with non-sensical set pieces, ridiculous characters and backstory’s, a pure example of poor filmmaking. If there is a way to catch a female piece of flesh on film, It is worthy of the 1/2 star for nothing else other than the opening credits which are shot and scored really nicely. The plot is basically everything unoriginal that happened in Midsommar.The shot selection is wonderfully confused. Don't even get me started on the "acting"... The only thing worse than the acting in this movie is the horribly derivative plot and the absolute lack of interest the director, actors, script and audience have in this movie.All the women in this movie do is talk about relationships, make each other & drink tea and sun bathe for 1.5hrsIt's like a terrible exploitation horror-porn movie but without the bottom of the barrel X-rated stuff that would normally entail (its not a porn movie, but feels like it wanted to be one).

All those who hear its melody end up dead. Now they must enlist the help of two ghost hunters to track down the demon's origin and free themselves from it's curse. Four lifelong friends head to a remote lodge for a weekend of fun. There is no denying that it is extremely derivative of numerous other horror films, using many tropes so familiar to the point of parody, and the script isn't strong enough to divert away from that, falling into a lot of the traps made by first-time films in the genre and contrived writing. Having caught this band live quite a few times now, some of the tracks have been aired previously, so it’s refreshing to hear the studio version. This is Sacrilege’s third release since their 2012 comeback, their 7 th in total, whilst always featuring on the darker and heavier side of the NWoBHM movement, they certainly don’t disappoint. That Sacrilege got a wide cinema release is an accomplishment, but it'll struggle to divert audiences used to slicker productions.Credit for its soundtrack which was alright and certainly better The Boy II despite it low budget. !It has to have some kudos for having hand sanitiser in it, which is very topical right now!A movie that will be forgotten about in about 3 weeks It’s a shame i think it had potential to be a fairly good horror. Similar setup as The Possession where someone buys a cursed box (in Sacrilege, it's a music box) at a yard sale.
I’m really, really surprised there wasn’t a lingerie pillow fight.Look, I'm fully aware that the "four girls go to a remote location and all hell breaks lose" trope is nothing new, but fuck me, I've never seen that idea relayed in quite such a luring, seedy, or outwardly misogynistic fashion as with this film.
The camera work and quality of the film is top notch.
