I thought that the main character was great and that the thread of dementia/forgetting/memory was an interesting one. It could have been condensed into half the chapters. God, at times, I wanted to slap the woman senseless.The big revelation/twist didn’t do anything for me since I saw it coming. Besides guessing what was going on, my main complaint is that I prefer my female leads in these types of books to be strong and smart even if flawed. Stuck behind a huge lorry, my wipers are no match for the spray thrown up by its wheels. But when something happens to cass, you read about it. ―"It took me just an afternoon to read this book and by the end, my heart was pounding. She stays a couple of minutes in her car, waiting for the woman to give her a sign she needs help, but the sign never comes.
