The keyboard is much more pleasing to use than our Dell, ASUS, and especially that crazy Apply keyboard.
The build quality is excellent, the metal finish is comfortable to type on, and it doesn't have the terrible keys that plague Apple's computers. I called Amazon and they were amazing, helped me return the device. Sometimes into the 4-5 hour range and for others it can be 6-7. One of the things that I can even admit about our old HP is how touchy the touchpad was.

Performance: My model is the base processor i5 1035 and G7 graphics with 8GB of ram. Facial recognition had about a 50% success rate. Because I can't give half a star, I'm going to give 5/5 hoping Microsoft can just fix this one issue. When limiting the PowerMark test to web browsing and video streaming, the Surface Laptop 3 13 saw its battery life increase dramatically, with the cell depleting by just 50% in five hours, and approaching 10 hours when reaching 0%. I will need to use virtual machines for some of my classes, but I have a desktop if I really did need more power. The minimal look to the surface laptop 3 gives it a classy feel.
(This is on all Microsoft laptops now and has been for awhile) I would not recommend this for gaming thats not what it's intended for its a work laptop. If you need additional enterprise management and security tools for the workplace, you can switch to Windows 10 Pro or purchase Surface Laptop 3 for Business. Highly recommend.I had mixed results with this device but overall it was a decent machine.

Bought for my wife and she is loving. I still love my macbook but after using macOS for so long, working on the surface laptop seems fresh.
Other than that, I do like everything else about the Surface Laptop. The mouse lags and jumps around.
The screen is the absolute best for real world productivity.

It’s a really lightweight, well designed machine with decent port selection, a good screen, great keyboard and trackpad with better specs than the base 2020 MacBook Pro, which is obviously the Surface Laptop 3’s main competitor.
In fact, it looks much like the MacBook Air, which is no insult.
