Somewhat overrated - you can find better hiking in the UP for sure - but it's still very pretty.
We took the train & riverboat tour. Along the way use our provided tree guide to learn about area timber types. Each park offers fantastic viewing platforms of rushing water at it's best. I definitely want to come back and try canoeing here.Absolutely beautiful! The gift shops were pretty good and so were bathrooms. We hiked from lower falls to upper falls then back down.

Trail is muddy andThis is a MUST SEE if you are traveling in the UP! We started at the lower falls and hiked to the upper falls. So if you are renting a car, make sure that you get one with Michigan plates.This Michigan state park is a must do if you're in the area, in my opinion.
You just may snag a northern pike, muskie, walleye or brown trout.
The upper and lower falls are available, with a 4 mile hike between the two if you are up for it. No wonder this is in Paradise!One of those must-do Michigan landmarks. You only get about 20 minutes at the falls then turn around and do it all again. There was a large crowd when we went. There is a bathroom, concessions, and kids activities.
