Only challenge is the last stretch up and out of canyon (+~1,000 ft elevation gain). My usual loop is to climb Overlook fire road, decend Guadalasca trail, climb Wood Canyon fire road, decend Art's/Sin Nombre/Two Foxes, then ride the main fire road back down to highway 1.Once you get in to the canyon beyond the fire road there are a few great single track climbs and descents.... Guadalasca and Backbone are the primary trails.Descended Black Bitch to hit Sin Nombre and Two Foxes singletracks then up Overlook to Sage singletrack.

Shortly after turning onto this road, you have the option of turning right onto the Sage Trail sinbgletrack or continue on the Ranch Center Fire Road. It's a long hike so bring lots of water and comfortable shoes!!
Guadalasca is awesome and Backbone is bumpy as always. Follow Overlook trail down to the campground at the bottom. We biked to the beach, had a picnic by the sea and decided to add in a difficult side trip on our return loop through the park. Keep going on the Overlook Fire Road a little bit further. It is about an 8 mile gently downhill sloping grade that ends up at the beach. @ mile 4.6 turn left onto Ranch Center Fire Road. There is a day use parking fee in the park so many locals choose to park along PCH (where permitted) and bike into the park …
