Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 7, 2014 I just finished the "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" story and it was great! Different Seasons (1982) is a collection of four Stephen King novellas with a more dramatic bent, rather than the horror fiction for which King is famous. I still wont rush out and fill my Kindle with fiction but I will re visit this little gem in a future holiday no doubt. I would highly reccomend this to anyone, Stephen King at his very best. Apt pupil then as now is perhaps King’s most disturbing story, but not technically horror. Be advised that this volume contains one short story (the last one), and three novellas. There are four stories all of which are equally as good. I love the strange club with the slithery bump noise and the hidden threat Mr Stevens the host gives off. Great read again.
