(Photo by James Carbone)As arson fires and looting erupted in parts of Los Angeles, more than 100 demonstrators gathered and marched peacefully in Old Pasadena in a protest against the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd.The loud demonstration was a marked contrast to other protests across the country which have seen violence and destruction.The protestors in Pasadena gathered and chanted at the corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, then circled the intersection several times, crossing with the lights, shouting, “I can’t breathe!,” “Black Lives Matter,” and other chants against police killings.“I’m out here,” said Ryane Mooves, “because I’m tired of our Black men, our Black women being mistreated, and being killed for no reason.
