I waited many years and finally got to see hear this wonderful voice in Oct. at Bear Creek Farms, 2007. Always watched you when I was a child living in santa monica california. My brother Denny and T delivered the morning newspaper to the Feeneys who lived in Grand Island Nebraska. What clear and glorious tones he had, whenever he sang. I will miss his wonderful voice Well my dad passed away December 12 2014 at 94 but that's ok he's in heaven now hallelujah I just watched Joe Feeney sing again and boy did he take me back to when I was a little girl and use to watch TV at my grandma's house in long Beach California he looks so much like my dad it brings back good memories thanks to the wells show I watched the Lawrence Welk show when I stayed at my Grandparents house in the late 50s and early 60s. I remember Mr. Feeney's incredible singing even though I was only 6 or 7 years old at the time. He died on April 16, 2008 in Carlsbad, California, USA. Great talent, I miss watching you with my grandparents and parents. Just saw this guest book and want to say that I had lunch with Joe at KABC in the late 60s and Joe talked with love all thru lunch about his wonderful family. The cause was emphysema, his son Tim Feeney said, adding that his family believed he might have contracted the illness from decades of performing in smoky casinos and nightclubs.From 1957 to 1982, Mr. Feeney was the featured tenor on the Welk show, which offered easy-listening “Champagne music” and family-oriented songs.
