It sounds like one of your settings is still wrong. I’m not sure why the system had changed to International keyboard layout- whether windows did it or the user did inadvertently I cannot be sure. You are my new hero. Click the "Language" bar, and then click “English (United States) - US".If the above step does not fix the issue, change the keyboard settings in “Ease of Access”. Now open up a new notepad window, type regularly with quotes and whatnot, and then smile a really big smile knowing that you don't have to do those frustratingly asinine "jump through hoops" shenanigans anymore, just to write something simple in the English Language on your new-ish computer.
