Cannot wait to go back.Our 3rd anniversary celebration at the Gurney’s of Newport We have watched this resort grow each year into the now pristine resort of Newport Our hearts are full after our 5 day stay Each year we have enjoyed our stay but this year seems the most We were there the first year Gurney’s took over this property We can say now without a doubt they have fined tuned everything for their guests to enjoy every part of the property Our room was beautiful over looking the water Our days perfect enjoying the pool and watching the beautiful boats sail by Our nights were so enjoyable with an amazing dinner at their Italian restaurant The fire pits on the outside patio so perfect for our after dinner drinks & before dinner viewing the sensational sunsets Mornings with room service & time at the gym & well appointed spa And afternoon lunch on the patio was wonderful truly the bloody Mary’s are sensational and view are priceless All anyone could ask for I NEVER leave reviews but felt I Must This property & management care about their guests their comfort & happiness If traveling to Newport this is a MUST Stay for all If your traveling to Newport make this your destination with no worries And if you have any doubts contact the wonderful manager David He will absolutely make your stay perfect Dear MamaNewcanaan, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward sharing your review with the entire team as it is truly a team effort.
For the price the room was not worth it. We were tired and just wanted to settle in before dinner.

Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. We really enjoyed our stay!We just returned home after a two night stay at Gurney's and overall our experience was pleasant. Front desk was awful no assistance even when we said we would pay more and upgrade.

It seems from other reviews that there were some hiccups when adjusting to covid plans, but my husband and I had a delightful evening here this past Saturday night. I really enjoyed my stay here!
It is pricey, but we were they for a girls weekend so splitting the room rate among multiple people really made this hotel more doable.

Our king room with a balcony appeared to have been recently remodeled. Spa was nice, nothing crazy.

Stopped by Gurney's for the first time today after wanting to try this place for forever!We fell in love. Our waterfront hotel is centrally located to the area’s abundant attractions and activities, which include great restaurants, landmark mansions, museums, vineyards, golf courses, beaches, state parks, scenic walks, musical and theatrical performances, cruises and more. Is it cold enough or hot? Everyone was extremely professional, accommodating , and helpful from the front desk staff and concierge to the restaurant staff. Delighting locals and visitors alike, Newport’s annual events include nationally acclaimed jazz and folk festivals, regattas, numerous shows and restaurant weeks in spring and fall. Because we offer 257 guestrooms and more event space than any other property in Newport, Gurney's Newport Resort & Marina is a popular destination for all sorts of stylish business and social gatherings, as well as truly memorable weddings. •First Night’s Deposit required at time of booking. This is the 2nd time we've been back and after a few glitches last year that the Hotel Manager not only rectified but went out of his way to do us a solid. We ended up in a room that was tiny with double beds not even queen beds.
The staff were courteous, but it was obvious they needed more help.
