Nightmare experience. The lodge has direct access to the river and has a pretty large private dock. Located in Guerneville, within a 10-minute walk of Pee Wee Golf and Arcade and 2.7 miles of Korbel Champagne Cellars, Guerneville Lodge provides accommodations with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Every room includes a private bathroom, and some units at the hotel have a balcony. The rooms are reasonable and there is a large common seating area with books. Own or manage this property? There was a BEAUTIFUL fireplace in the lodge, but "somebody would have to drive to Safeway for wood if guest wants a fire." No T.V., no fridge, microwave or coffee maker in the room. No management ever intervened,and its a shame that such a physically beautiful property,with such possibilities be like this. It is a great option for some outdoor fun even in December!Lack of Supervision Ruined Everything!

The group refused to turn down their music and proceeded to get into fights with everyone in the campground who repeatedly tried to get them to shut it down at midnight, 2am, 4am and 6am. To begin with when we got there we were told no animals and guests had dogs running around off leashes. Overall I was satisfied with my stay at this property.For my 30th birthday, we rented out all of the rooms at the Guerneville Lodge and it was the perfect set up for 25 of us to have a great weekend! There was no mid-week/winter rate. The grounds would have been perfect for our stay for the nearby Stumptown Beer Festival (which was great) but I would caution that if you value sleep at all - and I mean AT ALL because we literally got ZERO - you shouldn't plan to stay at this place. Second.... my review is based on the experience I had with the whole place being rented out for the wedding.
The fact that management did nothing throughout this whole ordeal is appalling and could have been very dangerous had any of the confrontations between guests escalated further than they did.
The next night, we stayed elsewhere in an OCEAN FRONT cottage, ALL in-room amenities, including a fireplace/wood provided and PERSONAL hot tub for the 10% off the usual $239.00 rate (YES, SAME RATE) but with ALL the amenities in-room provided. Stay away!!! I've already reached out to the owners but they have yet to return my calls and email.I was invited to one of my closest friends weddings that she had at the Lodge. IF the GUERNEVILLE LODGE charged us a reasonable WINTER rate such as $149 a night, we would be back in a heartbeat, many, many times the Lodge is clean, beautiful setting and summertime I could understand higher rates, but again with zero in room amenities, not $239.00. There is NO coffee maker in room, so we have to get dressed and go into the lodge and make our own coffee. The Hot Tub was nice & clean and overlooking the river, but it was cleaned so late in the day the tub was only at 94 degrees when we used it (cold December night) and it wasn't filled high enough. This would be fine as it is very tranquil overlooking the Russian River, but it is OVERPRICED.
