The illustrations are so colorful and help explain exactly what is happening in the story. That may sound like a silly thing to notice but I have read quite a few terrible children's books recently.
All the whirrs, chugs, and roars of an airplane are explained. I just wish the books were a bit larger for story time.It's more advanced in its description than the usual board book.
The cover is hardback but the inside pages are paper.

As we traveledI read this book to my 22-month-old for two or three weeks before her first plane ride. The pictures are great and give a great visual to what is mentioned in the text.
We work hard to protect your security and privacy. Had this book included the pre-flight experiences or diagrammed flight check in, baggage check in and security check points, etc, I would be able to whole-heartedly recommend it for "front loading" for travelling with autism.

With rhyming thoughts the pilot covers all the airplane noises from start to finish explained in easy to understand illustrations and examples for children.
